5 Tons of Hashish Found Aboard Disabled Yacht

KHANIA, Greece — More than 5 tons of hashish was found stashed aboard a yacht towed into port for emergency repairs.
While the yacht was in port, police noticed that it lay low in the water and suspected that it was overloaded with cargo. An inspection uncovered about 5.2 tons of hashish.
The yacht, with two Croatian crew members, was heading for the former Yugoslav republic of Slovenia, a Khania police official said Friday.
