SOUTH PASADENA: Residents complained last week about gunshots being fired at a house in the Kendall/Berkshire area on New Year’s Eve. Two suspects driving a stolen car were pursued by police that evening, but escaped when they abandoned the vehicle and ran into fields in El Sereno, said Police Chief Tom Mahoney. A loaded 9mm pistol was found in the car, he said. The occupants of the house refused to cooperate with the police investigation, he said.
