Kerrigan Might Skate the Week Before Olympics

If she is physically able to skate, Nancy Kerrigan will make her return to the ice in an exhibition at Boston College the week before the Winter Olympics begin on Feb. 12, CBS announced Thursday.
Rick Gentile, the network’s senior vice president of production, said the exact date has not been set, but CBS will televise the exhibition in prime time, probably on a one-day tape delay. He guessed it would be after Feb. 4.
The women’s skating competition at the Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, is scheduled for Feb. 23 and 25.
Gentile said Kerrigan will first have to be cleared to skate by the U.S. Figure Skating Assn. He said arrangements for the exhibition were made through ProServ, the agency that represents Kerrigan, and that other skaters will also take part.
An unspecified rights fee was paid to ProServ, according to Gentile.
