In another Century League game:
Foothill 5, Santa Ana Valley 0--Lori Grigas scored three goals and Beth Osborne and Telina Thurman each added one to lead Foothill (3-8-1, 1-1-1) to their first league victory.
In the Empire League:
Cypress 1, Los Alamitos 1--Brandi Charfauros scored a second-half goal for Cypress (5-16, 1-1-1) and Ali Ponce scored in the second half for Los Alamitos (2-1 in league). Cypress goalie Kim Lumsdaine had 19 saves and her counterpart from Los Alamitos, Lynsey Salsbury, had 12.
Esperanza 2, El Dorado 0--Heather Nelson scored in the first half and Jenny Parkison scored in the second half for Esperanza (11-3-2, 3-0). El Dorado, the 10th-ranked team in Orange County, is 13-4-2, 1-1-1.
In the Freeway League:
Sunny Hills 7, Sonora 1--Kate Foster and Rhonda Partida each scored two goals for Sunny Hills (9-3, 3-0). Kelly Gorman scored for Sonora (3-8, 0-3).
Fullerton 1, Troy 0--Freshman Allison Goodwin, playing her second varsity game, scored with seven minutes left in the game for visiting Fullerton (9-6-2, 2-1). Dawn Bitsie had four saves for her 10th shutout.
In the Garden Grove League:
Kennedy 9, Rancho Alamitos 0--Laurie Fritz scored three goals and Heather Darin and Michelle Maitland each had two for Kennedy (9-4-1, 5-0).
Garden Grove 2, Santiago 0--Tamra Miller and Jeni Barler each scored for Garden Grove. Goalkeepers Ann Dixon and Paula Fitzgerald combined for four saves for the Argonauts (3-10-1, 2-4). Shulema Luna had 23 saves for Santiago.
In the Olympic League:
La Mirada 3, Whittier Christian 0--Tiffany Tatum had 15 saves for Whittier Christian (3-6-1, 0-3-1).
In the Orange League:
Brea-Olinda 8, Western 0--Erin Wright led Brea-Olinda (5-6-2, 3-0) with three goals and Cynthia Barajas, Gretchen Thompson, Alivia Anthony, Amy Alexander and Katie O’Brien each scored once.
Anaheim 4, Savanna 0--Michelle Davies scored two goals and goalkeeper Maribel Plascencia had eight saves for Anaheim (3-8, 2-1).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Costa Mesa 2, Laguna Hills 0--Tesea Brown and Jessica Schroeder each scored as Costa Mesa (7-1-3, 2-0-1) upset fifth-ranked Laguna Hills. Sarah Lang recorded seven saves for the Hawks (10-5-3, 1-2).
Trabuco Hills 2, Estancia 0--Jennifer Brick and Chelsea Green each scored for Trabuco Hills (8-5-1, 3-0).
Laguna Beach 6, Century 0--Gina Belloni scored two goals for Laguna Beach (6-4-1, 1-2).
In the Sea View League:
Santa Margarita 2, Irvine 1--Santa Margarita, shut out for 78 minutes, scored two goals in the last two minutes of the game to stun visiting Irvine. Erica DeVitis scored on a penalty kick, and Tiffany Brown scored the game-winner two minutes later for No. 7 Santa Margarita (9-4-1, 5-0). Shannon Philbin scored for Irvine (7-6-1, 3-2) midway through the first half.
Newport Harbor 6, Woodbridge 1--Sophomore Jill Nelsen scored a career high four goals and Shellie Bradbury and Sommer Van Berckelaer each added one goal for ninth-ranked Newport Harbor (7-6-2, 3-1-1). Amber Willingham scored for Woodbridge.
University 2, Saddleback 1--Jayne Nichols scored the winning goal for University (3-6-2, 2-2-1) with one minute remaining in the game on a corner kick.
In the South Coast League:
El Toro 1, Mater Dei 1--Jenny Staiti scored for host El Toro (9-7-1, 1-1-1), and Michelle Perez scored for Mater Dei (11-4-1, 2-0-1).
Capistrano Valley 6, San Clemente 0--Lindsay Light and Renee Parker scored two goals each to lead host Capistrano Valley (14-2-3, 3-0), ranked third in Orange County.
In the Sunset League:
Rosary 5, Westminster 0--Amy Shanks scored two goals for host Rosary (6-6, 1-3) at Cal State Fullerton.
Edison 7, Fountain Valley 1--Christine Tyler scored three goals and Nicole Price added two to lead visiting Edison (14-3-2, 4-1), which held Fountain Valley (8-6-3, 2-1-2) without a shot.
In nonleague play:
Aliso Niguel 5, Bolsa Grande 0--Cindy Johnson scored two second-half goals as visiting Aliso Niguel (5-5-2) scored four second-half goals to pull away.
