IRVINE : Trustee Honored for Community Work

Mary Ellen Hadley, an Irvine Unified School District trustee, has been selected as “Woman of the Year” for the 35th State Senate District by State Sen. Marian Bergeson (R-Newport Beach).
Hadley was honored for her years of work in the community. She has served on the Irvine district’s Board of Education since 1983. She is the former president of the Orange County School Boards Assn. and a member of the California School Boards Assn.
Hadley is also a former city planning commissioner.
She was honored at a ceremony in Sacramento last week.
