Mega-Savings: Computer stores have evolved into mega-stores. Grocery chains are adding mega-stores. Even booksellers have mega-stores. So why not a mega-store for the thrift store industry?
The Salvation Army’s Orange County Adult Rehabilitation Center will hold a grand opening for a mega-store Wednesday. The new store, at 180 S. Tustin Ave. in Orange, will cover more than 12,000 square feet and include the regular selection of clothing, furniture, books and appliances. The store also will feature a boutique to display designer label clothing, collectibles and other higher-quality items.
Proceeds from the store will benefit rehabilitation center programs for alcohol- and drug-dependent individuals.
