* Davis L. Temple Jr. has joined the board of Cortex Pharmaceuticals Inc. in Irvine, increasing the number of directors to six. Temple is managing director of the Stover Haley Burns Inc. Life Science Advisory Group in Stamford, Conn., where he is responsible for evaluating biopharmaceutical companies relevant to investment banking activities and stock recommendations. From 1990 until his early retirement in January, Temple was a vice president at Bristol-Myers Squibb.
