California’s acting Secretary of State Tony Miller will speak at Rancho Santiago College on Monday to emphasize the importance of voting.
Miller, whose office oversees elections and voter registration statewide, will speak with students, many of whom are in the 18- to 25-year-old age group that statistics show are the least likely to vote.
Miller will make his remarks at 11:30 a.m. in the quad area of the Santa Ana campus, said Rancho spokesman Dale Ruhe.
Also, at 11:15 a.m. Miller will meet informally with students in the Board of Trustees meeting room, on the second floor of the administration building, Ruhe said.
The event is free and open to the public. The campus is at 17th and Bristol streets. For more information, call (714) 564-6452.
