Think about it--would you like to travel in a vehicle with sticky wheels and nothing to sit on but cold metal bars? No way; you’d scream. But that’s often been the fate of a baby in a supermarket. Now a Santa Barbara, Calif., woman named Karen Maasen has invented the Shopping Cart Pad, a colorful (and machine-washable) quilted deal with lace trim that fits into the front seat of a standard grocery cart, a little like an automobile toddler seat. It even includes little flaps under baby’s knees where they stick out. To order, call (800) 549-8973.
