Japan’s Takuya Kurosawa, driving a Lola T93 Mugen, defeated Andrew Scott of Britain by 15 seconds to win the fifth leg of the 10-race All Japan F-3000 Championship at Sendai. Kurosawa, 31, is the first Japanese driver to win a F-3000 series race this season.
Ross Cheever of the United States, who started from the pole position, was fourth.

American Doug Polen and New Zealand’s Aaron Slight teamed up to beat American Scott Russell and Briton Terry Rymer by 0.288 seconds in the 8-Hour Endurance motorcycle race at Suzuka, Japan.
