Fred W. Millard has been appointed Southwest area sales director for Strategic Mortgage Services in Costa Mesa. He will be responsible for monitoring the performance of sales executives and representatives in Southern California, Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada, as well as developing and managing customer relationships. Before joining the company, Millard was senior vice president at Alliance Mortgage Co., where he launched the Western regional office in Southern California. Before that, he was vice president at First Nationwide Bank.

In addition, Guy Reese has been hired as director of quality assurance in the appraisal division. He previously owned and operated his own appraisal firm, and before that, was senior vice president and chief appraiser for Sunbelt Savings Assn. in Texas.
