Jack Morris was released unconditionally by the Cleveland Indians. Morris, 39, was 10-6 but had a 5.60 ERA and led the majors with 13 wild pitches. Morris, a five-time All-Star, is 254-186. . . . St. Louis Cardinal pitcher Bob Tewksbury was scratched from his scheduled start Tuesday night against the Florida Marlins because of a sore right shoulder blade.
