Former Washington coach Don James was among seven men inducted into the Rose Bowl Hall of Fame.
Others honored at the sixth annual Rose Bowl Hall of Fame ceremony were former California running back Vic Bottari; former USC quarterback Jim Hardy; former Iowa running back Bob Jeter; former Wisconsin end Pat Richter; former USC running back Russell Saunders, who was honored posthumously, and Lay Leishman, a Pasadena community leader and longtime associate of the Tournament of Roses Committee.

Igor Trandenkov made it a 1-2 finish for the Russians, clearing 19-4 1/4. Jean Galfione of France was third at 19-2 1/2.
