IBM Urges Workers to Defeat Health Care Bills

NEW YORK — International Business Machines Corp.’s management has urged the company’s 110,000 employees to work to defeat two Democratic health care reform bills in Congress, the New York Times reported in today’s editions.
The paper said the message was sent out to employees in a memo on the company’s internal electronic mail network Monday. The memo is believed to be the first of its kind for IBM, which has a tradition of keeping politics out of its communications with employees, the newspaper said.
