CRENSHAW : Placement Agency to Hold Job Fair

JobStarts Inc. is hosting its first community job fair, “Opportunities for the Future,” from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday at its offices at 3010 W. 48th St.
The fair will feature employers from a variety of local businesses, including Trak Auto, the YWCA, the Los Angeles Airport Marriott, the Westin Bonaventure, Eastman Kodak and Federal Express. At the fair, prospective workers can meet employers, fill out applications and gather job information.
Many employers have openings and are looking for immediate hires, said Glen Peterson, executive director of JobStarts.
JobStarts is a nonprofit agency that offers free job training and placement assistance. Since opening in 1989, it has helped more than 1,000 people find employment.
