A plan that calls for the relocation of two buildings on Irvine’s historic Buffalo Ranch to the fairgrounds in Costa Mesa will come before the Orange County Fair Board for a vote Thursday.
The plan was released Monday after weeks of negotiations between fair officials and the Irvine Co., which owns the Buffalo Ranch.
Under the proposal, the Irvine Co. would pay to move and rehabilitate two of the most picturesque ranch buildings, including the famous silo structure. The company would also pay to have asbestos removed from the buildings. The total project is expected to cost more than $300,000.
