Thousand Oaks 28, Franklin 21--Sophomore running back Oscar Canela scored on a four-yard run with 8:28 left to bring the visiting Panthers to within seven of Thousand Oaks, but the Lancers’ one-two running punch of Brandon Jackson and Mike Thomas was too much.
Down 21-7 in the third quarter, Jeff Deno scored on a one-yard quarterback sneak for Franklin and then threw a six-yard scoring pass to senior wide receiver Johnnie Sanders, who had seven catches for 128 yards. Deno went 17-for-34 for 197 yards.
Next week: Marshall at Franklin.
