Systems Control Inc.: The company said Tuesday it has received a purchase order from Quantum Communications Group Inc. in Anaheim to manufacture 500 miniature antennae.

Quantum will conduct a field test of the antenna, which it developed for use in cellular phones. In engineering tests, the antenna provided cellular phone users with a wider range of reception than several models currently in use, a company spokesman said.

The purchase order is valued at $10,000, said Systems, which is also based in Anaheim.
