Disabilities: Parties for Wheelchair-Bound Will Continue, Host Promises

In response to the letter of Bill Bolt (Oct. 6), who criticized my parties for the disabled:

1. I didn’t make up the rule of no alcohol at my parties. The beach authorities don’t allow it.

2. I do not serve left-over food as he characterized it. The food is donated fresh.

3. Calling my guests “kids” is just my way of talking, not a demeaning reference to them. After all, I am disabled too.

4. I’m not trying to make the parties the only way out for a disabled person--it’s just a party.

Because of the article about my parties, three new people called to attend and we received some small donations.
