El Pollo Loco: The Irvine fast-food chain owned by Flagstar Companies Inc. in Spartanburg, S.C., said operating income for the third quarter was $3 million, contrasted with an operating loss of $428,000 for the same quarter last year. Revenue increased 28% to $34.8 million, from $27.1 million. For the first nine months, profit was $6.2 million, contrasted with a net loss of $1.7 million for the comparable period last year. Revenue rose 26% to $100.8 million from $80.1 million.
