Florida State Extends Perfect ACC Record

ATLANTA — Florida State proved it again Saturday: The Seminoles are far superior to other Atlantic Coast Conference teams.
The eighth-ranked Seminoles improved their ACC record to 23-0 with a 41-10 rout of Georgia Tech.
Danny Kanell connected with Melvin Pearsall on two scoring passes and Warrick Dunn scored on a 63-yard run. The Yellow Jackets, 1-7 overall and 0-6 in the ACC, were held to only five yards rushing. Florida State (7-1, 7-0) clinched at least a share of the conference championship.
“I don’t think there is any question they’re the class of our conference,” Georgia Tech Coach Bill Lewis said.
