Apple to Expand California Plant: Responding to increased demand for its Macintosh products, the company said it plans to build a 200,000-square-foot manufacturing facility to make components for personal computers adjacent to its current site in Elk Grove. The expansion will create about 300 jobs. Construction will begin immediately for completion late next year, the company said.
