Now that the anti-smoking forces have rid our public and commercial establishments of tobacco smoke, perhaps they can attack another health hazard--one that threatens our sanity--the audio systems concealed in the ceilings and/or walls of virtually every building we enter.
It is no wonder we have become a nation of nervous wrecks, when we are subjected to the ear-pollution of pervasive rock music that blares, wails and thumps at us wherever we go and from which there seems to be no escape.
