OUTLOOK
With four returning starters and seven returning lettermen, experience should be on the side of the Royals, who are coming over from the Sunset League. Celio, a second-team all-league selection a year ago as a sophomore, will be asked to take over the leadership role after the graduation of Jennifer Chey. Rosary will have to find someone to make up for Chey’s 16.3 points. Speed will once again be an important asset. “We should be a strong pressing team,” Yoon said. Rosary should also be tough in the paint with five players 5-10 or taller. Yoon believes the Royals will surprise a lot of teams this year and with the new league, anything is possible. For them to be successful, the leaders will have to step up and take control of the team while the underclassmen gain valuable experience at the varsity level.
