Newport Beach is accepting reservations for its Rent-a-Santa program.
For a minimum charge of $30 per half-hour, residents and businesses can get a visit from Santa at holiday parties anytime from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Dec. 1 through Dec. 23. Santa visits will include candy canes for each guest.
Paid reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Santa has a busy schedule, so visits are arranged on a first-come, first-served basis.
Visits are available in Corona del Mar, Newport Beach and parts of Costa Mesa. Last year, Santa visited 93 parties in the area.
