SANTA CLARITA — A 27-year-old woman was killed Thursday afternoon when she lost control of her car on a winding road while driving under the influence of alcohol, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The woman sped into a curve on Bouquet Canyon Road, south of Vasquez Canyon near Santa Clarita at 2:30 p.m., and the car flipped eight times, hurling her 90 feet from the auto, said Officer Richard Perez.
Perez said the woman, who was not identified pending notification of her relatives, was not wearing a seat belt. She died a short time later at Henry Mayo Hospital, he said.
