STOCKHOLM — A teacher who undressed in front of her adult class to demonstrate a lesson has resigned under pressure--despite protests from her students.
Irene Wachenfeldt, 44, was teaching a group of unemployed women how important it is to love your own body. To drive home the point, the mother of five undressed, a newspaper report said.
Students wrote a letter to the school principal protesting the decision to fire Wachenfeldt. “It was one of our best lessons. . . . It helped boost our self-confidence,” student Jenny Berg was quoted as saying.
