Weekend Box Office

Weekend box-office standings are relative since four-day totals are, in some cases, being compared with two-day figures. “Jungle Book” and “I.Q.” opened on Christmas Day; “Little Women” went into wide release on Sunday after a limited opening last Wednesday. Its cumulative figure, as with “Richie Rich,” reflects the total six-day take; “Nell” played on only two screens until this weekend. Sometimes the per-screen averages do not compute because the number of screens changed mid-run.
