NEWBURY PARK : Graffiti Vandals Hit School Again
- Share via
Vandals sprayed graffiti on the outside of several buildings, windows and doors at Newbury Park’s Sequoia Intermediate School over the holiday break, the second such incident at the school in the past two months.
Ventura County sheriff’s deputies said they suspect Thousand Oaks gang members were the culprits who painted gang insignia on the school in the latest incident, which cost the school $500 to clean up.
Over Thanksgiving vacation, vandals sprayed graffiti that caused about $750 in damage to the school, deputies said.
Under a program sponsored by the city of Thousand Oaks, deputies are offering a reward to individuals who provide information leading to the arrest and prosecution of people responsible for graffiti.
