Three men suspected of hijacking a Nevada-bound tour bus Saturday were arrested after leading police on a 30-mile pursuit, police said.
After the suspects’ car crashed in Ontario on Wednesday night, police arrested Keith Starks, 22, and Marcus La Madrid, 24, both of Baldwin Park, and Christopher Snively, 25, of Covina.
The men were being held at the West Covina City Jail on suspicion of armed robbery, kidnaping and possession of a loaded firearm, West Covina Police Lt. Darrell Myrick said.
A tour bus headed for the Gold Strike Casino in Stateline, Nev., was hijacked about 7:40 a.m. Saturday when three men who had posed as passengers announced they were robbing the bus. The men robbed 40 passengers of $10,000 in cash, jewelry, credit cards and wallets. They blindfolded their victims and bound their hands with wire, Myrick said.
The three men were also suspects in other robberies, Myrick said.
