Rancho P.V.: Deadlock on Special Election
- Share via
Concerning the inability of the Rancho Palos Verdes City Council to reach a decision on Steven T. Kuykendall’s replacement (“Panel Again Deadlocks on Special Election,” South Bay section, Jan. 19), it is proposed to:
* Cancel the utility tax (because the council demonstrates they cannot prudently conserve taxpayers’ money).
* Recall Susan Brooks and Marilyn Lyon, who have forgotten they are members of the team (the City Council).
* Use the proposed special election, which could cost as much as $70,000, to elect three new members to the council who will appreciate that they were placed on the council by the people of Rancho Palos Verdes and who will act in the people’s best interests.
We do not need, or want, any prima donnas on the council.
