HUNTINGTON BEACH — A man was shot at four times as he crossed the street early Saturday morning, but escaped with only one wound to the wrist, police said.
Ricardo M. Savala, 25, was in a crosswalk at Beach Boulevard and Slater Avenue at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday when a red sedan stopped at the intersection and the man in the passenger seat pulled out a gun, according to Lt. Luis Ochoa.
Though four shots were fired, only one of them struck Savala, Ochoa said. Savala ran to the nearby Huntington Beach Medical Center, where his wrist was treated, he added.
The assailants remain at large.
