Kings Reset Ceremony for Taylor

Right wing Dave Taylor’s 17-season career with the Kings will be celebrated April 3, before a game against Edmonton at the Forum, when the team retires his jersey number, 18. The ceremony had been scheduled for Dec. 15, but was postponed because of the lockout.
Taylor, 39, played a club-record 1,111 games, scored 431 goals and had 1,069 points. He made his final regular-season appearance last March 14, when he took the opening faceoff and then left the game. He is now an assistant to King General Manager Sam McMaster
Two other King numbers have been retired, goaltender Rogie Vachon’s No. 30 on Feb. 14, 1985, and center Marcel Dionne’s No. 16 on Nov. 8, 1990.
