WOMEN’S BASKETBALL : Thompson Hot in USC Victory

Tina Thompson’s 29 points and 17 rebounds led 24th-ranked USC to a 77-65 Pacific 10 Conference victory over Arizona State Thursday night in Tempe, Ariz.
The victory improved the Trojans’ record to 14-6 overall and 7-5 in the Pac-10. Arizona State (8-13, 2-10) was led by Emma Witkowski with 25 points and Molly Tuter with 23.
Arizona 63, UCLA 61--Atina Harris’ five-foot bank shot with four seconds left helped the Wildcats beat the Bruins in Tucson. Arizona (10-14, 5-7) was led by Adia Barnes’ 22 points and 15 rebounds. Kellie Bennett scored a team-high 18 points for UCLA (8-13, 3-9).
