Krebs, from Cerritos High, changed the outlook of her season greatly with her strong hitting last week. Her average had been wallowing near .100, but she went seven of 11 (.636) in five games. Krebs, a three-time all-league selection in high school, starts this week hitting .235. Krebs also drove in three runs as Cypress beat Saddleback, 9-2, in an Orange Empire Conference game. Krebs hit .252 last season as the Chargers reached the State tournament for the sixth consecutive time.

* Orange Coast, freshman. She won the 200 freestyle and the 100 medley and 200 medley as the Pirates won their 94th consecutive dual meet.
