SEASON AT A GLANCE: McKeown, a three-year starter, has been one of the Panthers’ most dependable players, averaging 10.3 points and 10.5 rebounds a game during the regular season. A versatile 6-foot-1 center, she led the Panthers to the Southern Section Division III-AA title with 12 points and 15 rebounds against Bishop Montgomery on March 4.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: With the section title in their back pockets, McKeown and her teammates began the quest for a State championship with victories last week over Our Lady of Peace, Bishop Montgomery and Santee Santana. McKeown averaged 13.7 points and 14.3 rebounds in those games, including 20 points and 15 rebounds--10 offensive--in the Southern California Regional final against Santana. She also helped hold three-point specialist Kelly Simers of Santana scoreless in the second half.
