SEASON AT A GLANCE: Jones, a 6-foot-5 forward, has been an inside force during the Mounties’ playoff run. He has led Montclair Prep in scoring during the playoffs, averaging 19.4 points a game. Jones, along with Scott Stark and Akil Anderson, missed the first eight games of the season because they played on the Mounties’ football team, which won the Division X championship.
WEEK AT A GLANCE: Jones had 24 points and 10 rebounds in the Mounties’ 59-58 victory over San Diego Horizon Christian in the Southern California Regional Division V final. Jones kept the Mounties in the game with several baskets as the Mounties lost a 12-point lead before rallying. Jones had 18 points and 14 rebounds in a Regional semifinal victory over Pasadena Poly, the team that defeated Montclair Prep for the Southern Section Division V-AA championship.
