We applaud The Times’ recognition of the Valley Economic Development Corp. Its hard work has been a labor of community love and dedication to rebuild the region.
People such as John Rooney and the VEDC staff take slow, awkward and complex government programs and facilitate their painstaking implementation. Small businesses and manufacturers enjoy an ombudsman that supports them on a wide range of subjects that include financial assistance and entrepreneurial training.
The San Fernando Valley region is fortunate to have the heart and leadership of the VEDC board of directors and staff.
