The Huntington Beach city clerk’s office is traveling on the information superhighway.
The public can now obtain agendas for City Council meetings as well as for various boards and commissions via computer.
Cable television schedules, city event listings and other information can also be obtained by computers and a modem.
Tony Russell, Huntington Beach’s records manager, said that since the computer bulletin board went on line about a month ago, the system has logged more than 200 calls.

Family counselor David Rice will discuss how parents can find a balance between freedom and control in child rearing.
Parents Who Care, a group associated with Corona del Mar High School, is sponsoring the forum on child care, titled “Giving Wings to My Child--How Much Freedom Is Too Much, or Not Enough.”
