ANAHEIM : Hearing Tonight on Proposed Stadium Parking Fee Hike
- Share via
A public hearing will be held tonight as the City Council considers an increase in parking fees at Anaheim Stadium.
The proposed hike would raise the cost of parking for most events at the stadium by $1. If approved, the fee hike could generate $348,000 for the 1995-96 budget.
If approved, parking for California Angels baseball games would go up from $5 to $6, while rates for football, concerts and motor sports events would increase from $6 to $7.
The council also will consider an increase in California Angels season ticket parking fees from $500 to $550. City officials say the higher fees are needed to offset increased operating and maintenance costs.
The council postponed the hearing last week due to the absences of Mayor Tom Daly and Councilman Bob Zemel, who were in Phoenix attending the National Football League’s annual meeting.
The hearing begins at 5 p.m. in the City Council chambers, 200 S. Anaheim Blvd.
