Nu Horizons Opens Irvine Office: Nu Horizons Electronics Corp., a New York-based distributor of high technology components to equipment manufacturers, has opened a sales and distribution facility in Irvine.
The Amityville, N.Y., company expanded to the West Coast last year buying a Bay Area warehouse. It chose Orange County for its second California site because of the electronics manufacturing here, said Paul Durando, a Nu Horizons’ vice president. It has 16 offices nationwide.
The Irvine office opened with a sales force of 14 people, and could grow to 25 within a year, Durando said.
