BUFFALO, S.D. — A third Tyrannosaurus rex fossil has been discovered by the twin brother of the man who found the first two.
Amateur fossil hunter Steven Sacrison discovered the fossil recently on a private ranch north of Buffalo. The latest T. rex find is within a mile of where Stan Sacrison found remains of the meat-eating behemoth in 1987 and 1992.
Only 20 Tyrannosaurus rex fossils have been found in the 20th Century: eight in Montana, seven in South Dakota, one each in North Dakota and Wyoming and three in Canada.
