Former Ram quarterback Dieter Brock resigned as the offensive coordinator of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Monday after fewer than eight months on the job.

Brock had installed the run-and-shoot offense in Hamilton, which has lost its last two games for a 7-6 record. Coach Don Sutherin wanted to make changes, and Brock resigned.

Brock, 44, was best known as a record-setting quarterback for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers and Tiger-Cats before leaving the CFL for the Rams in 1985. Brock completed 218 of 365 passes for 2,658 yards, 16 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
