Moorpark Country Days kicks off Saturday with a pancake breakfast and parade down High Street.
Arts and craft booths will line Bard Street throughout the day and the Air National Guard band will launch an afternoon of entertainment at noon on the Main Stage on High Street near Bard Street.
“It’s the biggest event in Moorpark,” said Carolyn Schrimpf, an administrative assistant with the Moorpark Chamber of Commerce. “We’re trying to create the old-fashioned country ambience.”
The pancake breakfast begins at 7 a.m. at Chaparral Middle School. The parade, which will feature more than 80 entries, starts at 9:30 a.m.
The Metrolink parking lot will play host to bands and line dancing as well as a variety of food booths.
The festivities continue Sunday with a 5-kilometer run and one-mile walk starting at Moorpark High School.
