It seems the Port of Los Angeles is quite the hot spot when it comes to passenger cruise ships. About 225,000 seafaring tourists passed through the San Pedro port’s World Cruise Center during the summer, making the port the busiest West Coast seaport for cruise travel.
Port officials recently reported that the passenger count is the highest ever posted for the port during those months. Officials said the increase in passengers is directly related to the increasing popularity of cruises to the Mexican Riviera. Three major cruise lines that provide regular service to Mexico call Los Angeles their home port.
