San Gabriel Valley : LAWYERS VS. PASADENA

Three female city attorneys who sued the city of Pasadena for discrimination will ask a judge to enforce a settlement the city backed out of at the last minute, their attorney said Wednesday.
“As far we are concerned this settlement has been executed,” said Cameron Stewart, who represents the women. “We will file a motion to enforce it.”
In September, the City Council agreed to a settlement worth more than $500,000 with three of the four women in the city attorney’s office who sued, alleging that men were promoted ahead of women. But last week the city announced that it was unable to reach a final agreement.
Stewart said the city reneged on the agreement because the fourth plaintiff declined to settle.
Acting City Atty. Cristina Talley declined to comment and referred questions to an outside legal counsel, case who did not return calls.
