‘Letter’ Screenwriter to Give Stevens Lecture

Screenwriter Douglas Day Stewart, whose latest credit is the adaptation of “The Scarlet Letter,” will deliver the 10th annual George Stevens Lecture on Nov. 15 at 8 p.m. at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, 8949 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills.
The lecture will consist of introductory remarks prior to the screening of Stevens’ classic 1953 Western “Shane.”
