Ewen Will Have Surgery on Finger

ANAHEIM — Right wing Todd Ewen will have surgery on his improperly healed left middle finger Monday and is expected to miss three to four weeks, the Mighty Ducks said Friday.
“Surgery No. 9 of my career,” said Ewen, though only one previous surgery has been on his hands, which are scarred and misshapen from 10 seasons of fighting.
Ewen’s hand was injured by a skate blade during a fight with Buffalo’s Rob Ray on Oct. 13. He missed two games but played the next 10 before deciding he could no longer play.
