Carter, from Crim High in Atlanta, is one of the most versatile players in Southern California. He is 6 feet 1 but can dunk with ease and is an outstanding rebounder, mostly because of his quickness. He is equally talented on the outside as well. Carter, who is averaging 29 points, scored 38 as Saddleback beat host Santa Barbara Saturday in the title game of the Santa Barbara tournament. In three tournament games, he made 25 of 27 free-throw attempts, had 18 rebounds, 11 assists, four blocks and eight steals.
