David Patrick, a 6-foot-2, 265-pound defensive lineman from Valley College, said Thursday he will sign a letter of intent.
Patrick, a Hart High graduate, said he also considered St. Mary’s, Portland State and Idaho State. He was a second-team All-Western State Conference selection.

Cameron Perry, a 5-9 receiver from Valley, finally signed on Thursday. Perry had committed to Matador coaches weeks ago, but then said he was wavering on his decision and might play for Division II Wayne State in Nebraska.
Perry, also from Hart, is No. 3 on the all-time Valley receiving list with 85 catches for 1,121 yards. He caught 37 passes in an injury-shortened season last fall.

Northridge and Northern Arizona have moved their game next season from Nov. 23 to Sept. 28, meaning the Matadors will not have a bye week during the season. The Northern Arizona game--at Flagstaff--will be the Matadors’ first Big Sky Conference game.

Gerald Rhoden, Northridge’s second-leading scorer, suffered a mild sprain of his ankle in practice on Thursday and may not be able to travel with the team to Oklahoma this weekend. A decision will be made today.
